Vydia – Product Manager, Label and Artist Services, Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Reggae (United States)

Vydia is seeking a Product Manager, Label & Artist Services, Hip Hop, Rap, R&B & Reggae to be responsible for the creative planning, tactical execution, due diligence and executive reporting of content publishing campaigns for labels and artists using the Vydia platform. In this role, you will report to the SVP of Operations and work alongside the Creator Relations team to support the release schedules of global creators representing the Hip Hop, Rap, R&B and Reggae genres. You will liaise with internal and external designer management teams to develop plans, acquire assets, deploy marketing spend strategically and maximize return on investment.

This role is ideal for people with a deep understanding of the music industry and a proven track record in creating successful content campaigns. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, creative marketing expert who can handle multiple projects at once and report at the executive level. In this revenue cockpit, you will be responsible for administering the P&L and achieving quarterly benchmarks; You will need to build and iterate over systems to track income, performance, and expenses incurred for each project. The interview and onboarding process is 100% remote via telephone and videoconferencing.

Responsibilities
  • Secure and organize all items related to Hip Hop, Rap, R&B and Reggae client content releases alongside Vydia’s Creator Relations and Client Success teams
  • Conceptualize personalized creative plans for Hip Hop, Rap, R&B and Reggae content that can be executed with clearly measurable KPIs; Provide regular executive reports on these measures.
  • Showcase digital music services focused on Hip Hop, Rap, R&B and Reggae genres to secure placement of client releases
  • Create comprehensive global marketing plans and project timelines visible and accessible to all cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate with labels, managers, agents, publicists, designers, ad strategists, key influencers, and creators to gather key requirements, then manage and deploy content-specific campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key DSP representatives to successfully secure playlist placements and other new DSP opportunities relevant to clients.
  • Research, create and execute creative and innovative ways to bring new music to the market; Test new channels and partnerships to expand customer audiences; Identity growth opportunities
  • Monitor creator progress and label progress in real time. Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns and invest strategically in the verticals that generate the best ROI for the business. Track execution and provide weekly updates.
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring all costs are captured and kept within budget. Generate reports on costs, revenues and quantify the return on investment of each project.
  • Verify, hire and ensure that suppliers are paid according to the company’s procurement process. • Develop and coordinate videos, illustrations and other visual content; Monitor milestones and coordinate appropriate assets, rewards, and certifications as needed.
Conditions:
  • Over 5 years of experience in a Hip Hop, Rap, R&B and Reggae music marketing role with a label or distributor managing media, campaigns, analytics and partnering relationships with a focus on these genres.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience and in-depth understanding of navigating the Hip Hop, Rap, R&B and Reggae music industry, developing and executing innovative marketing strategies focused on audience development.
  • Results-driven approach on how to tap into audience demographics and the gender-specific needs of labels and / or creators. Ability to monitor, identify and capitalize on industry trends with a focus on these genres.
  • In-depth understanding of digital and traditional marketing verticals in order to create marketing campaign strategies and hire expert vendors who can execute accordingly.
  • Digitally savvy; Proficient in social media platforms, data analysis and customer relationship management systems
  • Outgoing networker, adept at building connections, channeling influence, gaining buy-in and deepening relationships; Has active contacts in the industry at the level of DSPs, social platforms, publication editors, labels, managers, etc.)
  • Extremely organized, takes initiative and has strong time management skills; Able to easily work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and urgency to deliver what is communicated; Ability to effectively present information and answer questions from groups of executives, managers, direct reports, clients, clients and the public.
  • Experience building and scaling teams, building and iterating new processes, and creating procedures and training manuals.
