How did you get your big break?
When I was invited to attend and speak at President Barack Obama’s Countering Violent Extremism Conference at the White House. It was a real validation of my research and practice in preventing and countering violent extremism.
What are the daily habits of the news media?
If I have time, I’ll skim the titles and then read whatever catches my interest.
Which living person do you most admire?
Michelle Obama – a strong and formidable role model for women of color everywhere.
Your guilty pleasure in streaming?
The new season of Ozark – I have a love/hate relationship with all the characters!
What expression are you abusing?
I tend to use the “F” word too much. Is it bad?
