Russell Westbrook’s Paris Fashion Week wardrobe combines sport and style

Stylish stars flocked to Paris last week to attend the Spring 2023 menswear shows, including David Beckham, Naomi Campbell and Russell Westbrook. The American basketball player is known for his killer personal style off the court, especially his killer suits. But Westbrook wasn’t in town just to browse new clothes and accessories (although he did and catch shows like Dior and Louis Vuitton). Westbrook also held market appointments for his own clothing brand, titled Honor the Gift, and he invited vogue along for the ride throughout his hectic week.

Westbrook kicked off the week by welcoming friends and the press to its Honor the Gift showroom, located in the trendy Marais district. “The Spring 2023 Honor the Gift collection is inspired by black labor in the 1800s, so we wanted to use that inspiration while creating the showroom experience,” Westbrook said of the space. “I loved the use of raw cotton and dried leaves throughout the space to accent the pieces in the collection.” After previewing some of the new pieces, which range from utilitarian vests to hoodies, Westbrook even managed to take some time off for basketball, before continuing with other fashion shows. “Even though I’m always really busy during fashion week, I always find a gym to work out in,” he says.

Westbrook continued to sit front row at some of the hottest menswear shows of the week. Louis Vuitton was one of his favorite collections of the week, he says. “Kendrick Lamar is one of my favorite artists and he performed during the show,” says Westbrook. “It was great to see LV integrate a beautiful tribute to Virgil [Abloh] in this fashion show and to see all the looks from the new collection. Unsurprisingly, the fashion-forward star slipped into stellar front-row outfits for every presentation he attended. So be sure to scroll below to see how Westbrook dressed for Paris Fashion Week.
